What it is for
- Menopause
Why people check it
The menopause is a natural stage, usually between 45 and 55, when the ovaries stop releasing eggs and hormone levels fall. At that age the symptoms can say a lot, but a blood test gives a clearer picture, and you can take your results to a doctor you trust, such as your GP. Hormone replacement therapy helps many women, and it is worth talking to a doctor you trust about it.
Can be done with a finger-prick kit at home, at a collection point or with home collection on request.
